Bath Bombs

We are always on the hunt for another product that we could add to our growing brand. Every product is researched, developed and tested before we begin putting them up for sale. We personally use all of our products and now completely reply of them for most of our body care needs.

Bath bombs have been very popular and so we have been thinking of adding them for a while now. With all new products, there are startup expenses and bath bombs w no exception. In addition, we were already busy developing other ideas as well. But we decided to it’s worth the risk.

With all our products, we began with the word ‘natural’ in mind. Our aim was not to create a product that simply gives a 90 second fizz, but something that would give you a luxurious bath experience and be healthy for your skin at the same time. Some of our customers have skin related issues and we wanted to design a product for them too.

Every bath bomb uses baking soda and citric acid to give you a fizz. These are the two standard ingredients in all bombs. Additional oils are what vary in many recipes. The oils we wanted to include were grapeseed oil and shea butter.

Grapeseed oil is added because it’s rich in vitamins C, D and E – which help reduce wrinkles and scars. The antioxidants help treat acne and act as a moisturizer, balancing the dry and oily patches of skin. Grapeseed oil is also known to reduce clogged pores.

Shea butter aids all kinds of skin problems, including blemishes, wrinkles, itching, sunburns, small skin wounds, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, frost bite, and other skin conditions. By adding some to our bombs, you’ll get an overall skin wellness treatment!

The other important ingredient is Epsom salt. They are added because they help treat a variety of issues including sore muscles, sunburn, bruises, psoriasis and other ailments.

All a little color and a fragrance, and you have a bomb! Not as easy as you think, as we were looking for a color that would not stain or leave a ring around the tub.

Getting our commercial press to work was another matter. We changed many variables in our initial recipes but were still unable to achieve the results we anticipated. Bomb after bomb fell apart or got stuck in the mold only to fall apart after being released.  We changed and modified our ingredients as the experts suggested. Nothing worked. Was this a large paperweight? Is this thing returnable?

Finally we leaned a secret that would change it all. A little tweak here and there and we were rolling out the bombs! They came out consistently and were all sporting the Saturn ring.

With our commercial press, we can literally press hundreds of bombs per day. It didn’t take long for us to have a strong selection of bombs we loved and we know you will too.
