Golden Bee’s All Natural Deodorant

Beekeeping is physically demanding work and it doesn’t take long to work up a sweat.  Especially when you’re lifting 70 pound boxes on a +30 day in the full sun wearing a full bee suit.

We have been on the hunt for a good natural deodorant for several years now. The problem was, nothing on the market seemed to work and most of the recipes we tried didn’t work either so we were quite disappointed. It became clear to us that we would have to make our own formulation.

So began three years of researching, developing, testing, and at times almost giving up at the seemingly impossible task at formulating our own unique blend. Our standards were quite high: we wanted a product that not only matched others, but a product that would exceed expectations. We wanted a product that would work for all those who said, ‘nothing natural has ever worked for me’.

This would not be easy.

Fast forward three years; we are excited to announce that we have finally created a product that we feel is worthy of the Golden Bee label. The test subjects who tried it, not only loved the product, but were surprised at it’s effectiveness given that it’s all natural. That’s right, there are no harmful chemicals, aluminum, phthalates, and parabens in our product.

Our natural deodorant does not come in a typical deodorant stick – it’s a thick paste you can apply with your fingers. A small dab spread under each arm pit should do the trick and it’s as easy to apply as any lotion. Reapply as necessary. You will notice that the product firmness is affected by the ambient room temperature. Cooler environments make it much firmer than warmer areas but it’s formulated to work in both.

We have three scents available: Lavender/Lemongrass, Bergamot/Lime and Orange/Grapefruit. Our formulation uses essential oils that not only give it a great scent, but also have skin healthy qualities too. Note: Our bergamot oil has the bergaptene content removed due to photosensitivity issues it may create.

If you have never used a natural deodorant and are using a commercial product at the moment, you need to be aware that it may take up to two weeks for this product to become effective. Your body needs to adjust and needs to eliminate the toxins that have been built up over the years. Once this is flushed out, this product should work to eliminate odors. In our research, we have also discovered that a magnesium deficiency can also make this product ineffective.

One of the ingredients in this product is baking soda. We carefully formulated it for those people who may not like this ingredient. However, for those who don’t want it at all, we are also working on a baking soda free version in a traditional stick format.
